I Built A New Queening Stool

A few years ago I built a Queening Stool after seeing one used in some porn and wanting to try it myself. I didn't have plans to work from, I just used my imagination and put together this:

The strings you see in the middle of the frame cradle the head of the sub to hold their face up to the hole. I later added in a couple of cleats to tie off the strings, allowing for adjustability.

I took it to my tribe and we played with it....and have had much fun! It is very comfortable for both the sub and the Queen or King sitting on it. The sub is laying flat on their back with the head supported, the sub's body exposed to whatever the Dom wishes.

I recently met a couple who enjoyed seeing the pictures of it in use on my Dom's Fetlife profile @Sir2sub and they expressed a desire to have one. I thought about how to put one together with the scrap materials that I have laying around and realized that it wouldn't be that hard to do, so here we go.

First step is to gather stuff - some leftover OSB plywood from a roofing project years ago. The wife wanted me to throw it all out but I see value in keeping scraps like this. A length of 2x4 from the wood pile for the frame.

Next step: cut the plywood to a 12"x12" square. Mark the lines for a 4"x6" hole in the center. Cut the 2x4 to four 8" long pieces.

I used a circular saw and did plunge cuts

Next step: Lay out frame pieces. I was going to use 2x4 pieces for the base like this
When I suddenly decided to switch gears and replace to horizontal pieces with another piece of plywood (smaller, lighter, stronger design). I cut a square piece 11"x11"

Notice how the smaller base piece leaves the vertical supports 1/2" from the edge all the way around on the seat part. We're going to need that space to staple the vinyl covering to.

Then I pencil lines around where the verticals meet the plywood

Now that I know where the wood is going to meet I drilled the screw holes

Now it is time to lay out a 15" square of the vinyl covering over the 12" square seat, giving a 1.5" border around the edge

Which cuts easily with scissors

Using a straight edge, I mark the X lines to cut with a razor blade

Then cut the seat padding foam to match the seat base 12" square

These are the screws that I used

And after I screwed the frame together I gave it a trial fit over my head.....and my head did not fit with the orientation of the vertical supports. No problem, I just unscrewed them and flipped the offending pieces 90 degrees and now my head fits in there.

So now we can paint it. I have some Bordello Red left over from the Fuckhorse project.

And with left over Black I painted the bottom of the seat. Once the paint was dry I placed the seat over the vinyl cover. You can see the X cut to fit the hole.

Now its time to staple the flaps down with a staple gun.

Now we add the foam padding and pull the cover up through the center and spread it out over the foam.

Then flip the stool over and pull the cover tight to wrap over the 1/2" edge perimeter to staple down.

When I get to the corners I just fold the excess over and staple the corner down.

Nothing says BDSM like having some metal trim around the edges. I got these at the craft store from the leatherwork section. I just lightly tapped them on with a small hammer.

And voila!! The queening stool is built. A simpler version than my first one that I built. And using mostly scrap pieces, I only spent about $4 making this.
